NFL Referee to Speak at FEC Breakfast May 17

A National Football League referee will serve as a guest speaker for a breakfast meeting sponsored by the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith’s Family Enterprise Center. The meeting will be held at 7:30 a.m. May 17 at The Blue Lion at UAFS Downtown, located at 101 N. 2nd St.

Walt Coleman, Hiland Dairy Controller and an active NFL referee, will give a presentation on “Making Tough Calls.” Coleman will discuss his role as a referee and making tough decisions in tense situations with high stakes.

The Family Enterprise Center provides numerous opportunities for owners and employees of family businesses to learn about common challenges and how others families have dealt with these difficulties. The FEC hosts professional speakers who are family business leaders, as well as experts in legal and accounting matters.

Annual FEC dues are $550 per year for a family. Attendees must RSVP for the event by May 13. The fee is $20 for non-members. To RSVP or register for the FEC, call 479-788-7931 or email FEC Director Dave Robertson at
