Executive Director of the Surgical Technology program
Sydney Fulbright, associate professor and executive director of the Surgical Technology program at the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith, came to the university in 1998 when it was Westark College.
She had previously worked as nurse clinician at Sparks Regional Medical Center, in surgery at St. Edward Mercy Medical Center, and at Summit Hospital. She has worked as a nurse for more than 30 years and has experience with all age groups and in many settings, from school nursing to elder care.
She has an Associate Degree in Nursing from the University of Central Arkansas, a Bachelor in Nursing from Arkansas Tech University and a Master in Nursing from the University of Central Arkansas and a PhD from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville with an emphasis on elder care and public health.
