Executive Director of Career Services and the Babb Center for Student Professional Development

 

Ron Orick has served as the Executive Director of the Career Services Office at UAFS since August, 2015. As the Executive Director of Career Services, Orick assists students in securing internships, part-time and full-time positions and also serves as the Director of the Doug and Kathy Babb Center for Student Professional Development, which assists participating students in professional development, career preparation and pursuit of employment opportunities through partnerships developed with partner organizations.

 

Prior to accepting his current position, Orick served as the Director of the Doug and Kathy Babb Center for Student Professional Development at UAFS since July, 2013.

 

Prior to accepting the Director of the Doug and Kathy Babb Center for Student Professional Development, Orick served as the Director of Career Services at UAFS from 1999-2013.  He came to UAFS in March, 1999, after a seventeen year career with ABF Freight System, Inc., where he held positions in human resources, training and development, field management, and sales.

 

Orick’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration from Lyon College (formerly Arkansas College) in Batesville, Arkansas and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas.  He is also certified as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR).
